Frequently Asked Qestions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yes it is! We moved to our new store on 10/31/08. And the good news is our new store is only 50 feet south of our old store. We are now located three stores down from King Soopers, and we are now three times the size of our old store.
~
Our Winter Store hours beginning 1/2/09 are:
Monday - Friday 11am to 7pm**Saturday 10am-8pm**Sunday 12noon - 6pm
We are a full-line pet store. We sell Puppies, Kittens, Fish, Small Animals, Reptiles, and all related pet supplies.
All of our puppies come with: 1 year Guarantee, 100% Health Guarantee, 1000% Purchase Guarantee, Free Vet Exam, Current Shot & De-Worming Record, Registration (if purebred), Micro Chip, Puppy Care Kit, Food, All Breeder Information, Parents Names, & More!
Absolutely Not!!!! We 100% guarantee it. Every puppy we purchase is from a USDA-Licensed breeder and that is not our only requirement! We only use a breeder that we have researched and chosen to use. We do not chose a breeder based on price, we chose them based on quality, care of their adults, breeding experience, and their love of dogs. Over the last 4 years the USDA had made breeder requirements to maintain their licnses we got back 3 years on all USDA inspection reports before we even will consider using a breeder. We also require that all puppies are brought into our store to breed standards. Many of our puppies have a champion blood lines and have even won Denver’s Pet Expo Dog Show two years in a row. We require at least two sets of shots, intra-nasal kennel cough vaccination, several de-wormings, and a very thorough vet examination of the puppy where everything on the puppy is checked. If not found to be perfect, we do not take the puppy, however we do take many of these puppies too. They will be listed in our store and what their disability is (IE. missing a toe that momma dog accidently stepped on etc) with them so we can give them also a chance for a happy loving home. We also only deal with breeders that will genetically stand behind their puppies for one full year. Any breeder just brreding for sheer profit would not offer a one year genetic guarentee on them.We DO NOT EVER purchase from puppy mills or backyard breeders. No exceptions. A Good deal is a compromise in health and quality, and that makes it not a deal at all.
And please know that almost all, if not all the breeders that have a USDA license are most likely listed somewhere online as a puppy mill breeder. Sad thing is most of the puppy mill breeders now are and have been for the last several years are unlicensed and not perticipating in a licensing process to insure they stay within all or any guidelines of the USDA. After all we all trust the USDA to regulate all aminal products that are consumed in the US that we all eat and give to our children(extreme vegan excluded), so how is it we can trust them with the food we feed ourselves and our families but they are totally are unable to properly requlate dog breeders? ....Just food for thought there... Maybe also keep in mind or feel free to research the shelters you donate to. We firmly believe in adoption as an option and would never deter a customer from adopting or donating or both it's a personal choice for each person or family. That being said, the National Humane Socity of the United States(aka HSUS) which also owns ASPCA and a few other donation type orginazations under their corporate umbrella, less than 1% of all donations given to any orginization under HSUS umbrella goes to the dogs. The rest of the money goes to off shore accounts, executives, attornies and lobbyist. You have to wonder... The head of the HSUS was let go in 2018 due to sexual harrassment and has now done several public interviews stating what we have all beed told by them in any industry dealing with any type animal and is now a matter of public record. HSUS is not at all consurend with the care or recue of dogs instead they are playing on the publics empathy for money so they are trying to shut down the whole animal industries and because we are the smallest industry with the least amount of money (conturary to what HSUS says) that deals with animals, when they get done shutting us down and eliminating the sale of any pets even a fish or a hamster can only be adopted they wilkl move on to horses, cattel, and then all other farm animals. They are the ones making all the money not the stores or the breeders...
About 10+ years ago the head of the HSUS went to the federal government asking them to ban all animal sales in the us and make them adoption only. The government said NO this is America and people have the right to decide how they aquire a pet, and it will eliminate many breeds if not all avaibable to people. So HSUS told the US government that since states can overrule them they would just go state by state trying to ban any type of animal sales, And they have accomplished that in several states convincing people through false and nonexsintand 20 year old omish puppy mill photos and videos that this is the only way to help the dogs...Sad they made the stores and breeders the enimies to the public while many are embracing and following them in these actions weather it is true ot not, or old or not, and the level of deception the placed on the stores and the breeders convincing the public of lies while taking all their hard earned money for an unhealth goal for all Americans pet owners or not. They are also now starting to attack the Calgary industry. The horses... He said then they will go after the farmers until the whole US becomes vegan and there are NO animals or products avaible to within the US. This attack will contue on anything animal being allowed in the US will continue as his replacement has stated to other excustives because she 100% agrees with his odd, selfish, untruthful, and deceptive business practices. After all she learned from the best peoson at it. They are truly is using, at the expense of the american publics money and heart strings, their donations to fund his unethical, very corrupt, and a little far out there way he wants to change the country. Perception has become reality in this situation because the non-profit orginization is spending all of their donations to try to shut the whole industry down, pay exucitives, pay attornies and lobbiest and then what ever is left over goes to the animals in the several years of tax returned avaible to view it is less than 1% of any donations went to animals...how very sad...Here is a websire link to really look at the facts. On this site are copies of the HSUS tax returns retrived through the freedome of information act. The truth is all there. There are also articles from accredited sorces and the accridation is listed for verification and so much more, please feel free to read them.
We have always known the truth would come out. Now it is starting They are now under investigations at the request of the Kentucky Attorney General Asking The US Attorney General to open an investion into their corrupt business practices. The international humane socity run by HSUS had been suspended and is now shut down for corrupt business practices and illegal and misuse of donations.
Here is a web site you can read the facts on. Everything listed on this site has been verified from the accrideted sources that origionallt published the information. www.humanewatch.org
We truly love animals here that is why we do this and if anyone ever says or posts online in our reviews that our puppies are covered in filth and unkept or any animal in our store is like that such as some of some of these people have done. Please feel free to come in a look for it is another absoulte untruth. Many of these people have never been in our store or have read all of the regulations we have to comply with to stay in business in the state of Colorado and the city of Thornton making that possability impossible.
We want anyone looking for a pet to do and choose which option is best for them and their family. It should be a actual choice, and an educated one at that, but how can people educate themsleves when much of the information they are reading is untrue and there is so much corruption of the facts. Plus with all of this bad publicity attacking us for all these years that is mostly unfounded or old it has made anyone feel bad if the purchase a puppy. However read the truth, and feel free to read this article below and see what non-HSUS, non-profit shelters are paying for puppies and dogs. Yeah thats right. Some have paid more than $10,000 in donation money for one dog. See the public doesnt know the shelters buy them too. Did you ever wonder how any time there is any type of natural disaster in the US suddenly many shelters have "Rescue Puppies" from that disaster. Like last year when Taxas was devistated by the awful hurricane...Many on the shelters started offering "Puppies rescued from texal due to the huricane" Hmmmmm It kinda makes you wonder... why would so many people in texas gave up their puppies and not their dogs...Some shelters actually did rescue dogs are rehome them from the texas disasters but we were unable to find very few. Many of these puppies were brought up from mexico or purchased in the US.
All of this being said there still are some very good shelters and there are so very bad ones. Its the same with anything, there are very good pet stores and bad pet store too, just like there are bad doctors and good ones and lawyers, hospitals, etc... But that doesnt make them all bad. So realisticallt how can every single pet store be bad, every USDA licensed breeder, and even the USDA...
We are not against any type of adoption of any animals and are definetly not against shelters and rescues and we donate supplies and money anually to real, thrithful, shelters that will use the money and supplies for the benefit of the animals, not in the pockets.
An example Denver Dumb Friends League is a great shelter doing so much for animals and not just pocketing the money or spending it on unrealstic things like $10,000 on a dog(she said she had to save this dog but how many dogs could she have help with that money vs one? it sounds a little counter productive doesn't it?.
Absoutly dont stop donating if you already are, or wanting to... Our honest advice would be to donate! but to do it locally and research the shelter to insure they are not corrupt. They will use your donations for what they should go to...The Animals and their care. Here is the article on how much shelters are spending at dog auctions. It was ran in the Washington Post in April of 2018. The written article has much more in it vs the video. But both are good factual information
We may have to pay more for our puppies than other stores because of the breeders we choose to use and our requirements to even bring the puppy into our store. However, we firmly believe that paying a little extra for a higher quality and better quality puppy up-front is much better than the new owner having thousands of dollars of vet bills on their puppy’s first few years of life. Also we have also done all of the research for you on the breeder.
No, not at all, and our store was purchased and independently owned and operated from October 2006 forward.
Honestly we don’t care. If our competition needs to “try” to copy us or compete with us, then let them try, because there is no way they can honestly compete. Our quality, health of the animals, reputation, and service speaks for itself. So; they can sure try, they can copy our ads, attack our sales and even place a store near us. However our health, quality, and reputation speak for itself. We don’t believe in attacking other stores or breeders with false accusations to generate sales. We don’t need to. We don’t falsely advertise or promise things we cannot deliver. We are here to provide a high-quality store, where people and families can come and receive accurate information, superior customer service, top-quality animals, and enjoy their visit to our store. We do it our way because we truly love our animals too!!! Stop in you will see…
Yes, we do! We breed: hamsters (all kinds), mice, rats, gerbils, guinea pigs, and rabbits in our store. We do also purchase rabbits and guinea pigs from 4-H children and a few local hobby breeders. However, all other small animals are only grown in our store. We do this because you receive a much happier, friendlier, and healthier pet. All animals sold from our store, no matter how big or how small, come with a health guarantee.
Yes, we sell freshwater tropical fish. We offer a wide selection of common fish and also carry unique and less common ones to add variety to your fish tank.
Not currently at our location. We do recommend Adorable Dog Grooming on 120th Ave. and Next to Nature on 112th and Colorado. We only refer to and recommend who we have used and personally experienced. This way we are sending all of our customers to an establishment we stand behind and believe in.
We use Adams County Animal Hospital at 8020 N. Sheridan Blvd. Arvada, CO 80003. (303) 429-9719. We use this vet because our owner has personally used them for the last decade. We stand behind them and believe in their quality, expertise, and care for your animals as well as our own.
We sell both domestic and purebred kittens. Purebred kittens we purchase from breeders and sell them with a 1 year guarantee, vet exam, registration, current shots and de-wormings, free food, a kitten care kit, micro chip, and more. Domestic kittens we take in so they do not have to go to a shelter. We provide them with vet care, first shots, a free vet exam, high quality food, de-wormings, and a kitten care kit. We then sell them for only the cost we have in them.
This store was wonderful, a little crowded but they are expanding. The puppies were super healthy and happy and playful. So much so that after looking at 7 other stores we knew this was the only place to buy! So we did about 6 weeks ago. Our Little Jackson is perfect, healthy and everything they said and promised they delivered. They gave us so much information and help with our puppy, that I have to say their service, knowledge and love for their animals is 10 steps above the rest. This is the ONLY place in the metro area I would even consider recommending. We even called the breeder of our new puppy and she answered all of our questions and sent us pictures of the parents!! Their prices were lower then the bigger stores also. Amazing Place!!!! |
